It is true that, with a combination of streaming services and certain members-only torrent sites (Cinemageddon, KaraGarga), I can find virtually anything I want. I am happy about this. It feels odd to remember that by the time I finally had access to a video store that stocked Pink Flamingos, I had already spent years reading about it and was fully aware of almost everything it had to offer. The old excitement I used to feel about finally finding a movie I had spent years thinking about was real, but not necessarily a feeling I long to recapture.
